Burnout Recovery Through the Body

Somatic Guidance (coaching), Movement, and Yoga Nidra in the Greater Palm Springs Area (Coachella Valley) and online, for people who are successful on paper and exhausted underneath.

Burnout rarely arrives all at once. It builds quietly: the tiredness that sleep doesn't fix, the shortness with people you love, the sense that you're performing your own life. By the time you name it, your body has usually been asking for a while.

I'm Oumayma Rose. Before I was a somatic guide, I spent more than twelve years in engineering and leadership roles. I know the particular exhaustion of being very good at a life that's slowly emptying you. This work is what brought me back.

Signs your body may be asking for rest

  • You wake up tired, even after a full night of sleep
  • Your mind races at night and goes flat during the day
  • Things that used to matter feel distant
  • You're short-tempered, numb, or both
  • Rest feels impossible, or like something you have to earn

Why the body, not just the mind

Burnout isn't only a mindset problem, so it rarely resolves with a better to-do list. Chronic stress lives in the nervous system: in the breath, the jaw, the shoulders, the gut. Somatic work meets it there. We slow down enough for your body to register that it's safe, and from that place, clearer choices become possible.

How I work with burnout

  • 1:1 Somatic Guidance: 90–120 minute sessions of breath, movement, inquiry and stillness to understand what's been running you, and what you want instead
  • 1:1 Yoga Nidra: deep guided rest (also known as NSDR, non-sleep deep rest) for a nervous system that's forgotten how to calm down
  • Private Yoga: gentle, personalized movement shaped by how your body feels that day
  • For teams: Corporate Wellness sessions to lower stress before it becomes burnout

Sessions are in person across Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, La Quinta and Indio, or online. (Travel fees applies to locations over a 30 min drive from Palm Desert)

Is this therapy? No. Somatic coaching and Yoga Nidra are wellness practices, not medical or mental health treatment. If you're experiencing depression, anxiety or other health concerns, please work with a licensed professional. Many of my clients do both.

How many sessions will I need? It depends on what you're carrying. Some people come for a single reset; others work with me over several months. We'll talk about it on our first call.
